Pemba Gelje Sherpa is originally from Khari Khola located at Solukhumbu district in eastern Nepal. He started his mountaineering career after summiting Mera Peak in 2008. By the time he is a certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide leading international expeditions in Nepal, China/Tibet, and Pakistan.
Pemba has successfully climbed Everest 5 times from both north and south col, Mount K2 – the second highest peak of the world, Manaslu and Cho-Oyu. Climbing Kanchenjunga from Basecamp to summit in one day and guiding first South African woman to Everest without any oxygen supplement has been one of his most notable expeditions.
He is a young and energetic climber who is passionate about getting involved in rope fixing and rescue mission. He has a strong belief that every climber has to go home safe. He is looking forward to continuing guiding international expeditions considering the safety of all the climbers.
