Narendra Shai Thakuri
Narendra Shai Thakuri is from Lamjung located in the mid-hills of Nepal, a popular destination for Annapurna trekking. He started his mountaineering career from 2005 with a successful ascent of Mera Peak. By the time he is a certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide leading international expeditions in Nepal. He is also a member of the mountaineering training committee of “Nepal Mountaineering Association” and “Mountaineering Instructors Association”.
Naren has reached the summit of Everest twice, Manaslu and Amadablam and several other 6000 meters peak. He has also climbed Mount Elbrus the highest mountain in Europe. Travelling most of the European countries and the United states he is familiar with the cultures and perspectives of mountaineering of the international climbers. An attempt to climb Annapurna – one of the most dangerous mountains on earth, in 2012 has been a most challenging and notable expedition for Naren.
Apart from mountaineering, he is highly interested in photography and wilderness travel.
