Lakhpa Sonam Sherpa is recognized as one of Nepali tourism’s most successful and important entrepreneurs today. His organizations have also earned several awards over the years and have grown exponentially. This comes as no surprise as Sonam’s work is deeply seated in his passion and respect for the Himalayas and his relationship with the same: his late wife Pasang Lhamu Sherpa was the first Nepali woman to climb Everest in 1993, who lost her life on the mountain during the descent.
Namgyal provides leadership and steer to the Thamserku group and has recently guided the organisation through a period of significant change, modernizing the core whilst retaining the expertise and loyal staffing that provide the company’s USP. He is very much a hands-on director getting out on trek, working directly with operation team to keep the organisation on focus and stimulate development of new products and services.
Dawa Gyaljen Sherpa is originally from Rolwaling village in north-central Nepal. By the time he is living in Kathmandu working as an Expeditions Manager at Thamserku. Dawa started his mountaineering career after a successful ascent of Yala Peak at the age of 16. By now he has successfully reached the summit of Mt Everest four times from North and South Cole, Cho-Oyu, and Muztagata in China. He has also climbed 6000 meters peaks such as Mera Peak, Pharchemo, Island Peak, Lobuche peak, and Ramdung several times.
Dawa Gyalje Sherpa is from Rolwaling an isolated village located in north-central Nepal. He started his career in mountaineering at the age of 20 as a kitchen porter in Everest. By the time he is a certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide leading international expeditions in Nepal, China/Tibet, Pakistan.
Narendra Shai Thakuri is from Lamjung located in the mid-hills of Nepal, a popular destination for Annapurna trekking. He started his mountaineering career from 2005 with a successful ascent of Mera Peak. By the time he is a certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide leading international expeditions in Nepal. He is also a member of the mountaineering training committee of “Nepal Mountaineering Association” and “Mountaineering Instructors Association”.
Pemba Gelje Sherpa is originally from Khari Khola located at Solukhumbu district in eastern Nepal. He started his mountaineering career after summiting Mera Peak in 2008. By the time he is a certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide leading international expeditions in Nepal, China/Tibet, and Pakistan.
Pemba Rita Sherpa is from Rolwaling village in the north-central part of Nepal. He started his mountaineering career after a successful ascent of Mera Peak in 20002 as a climbing Sherpa. By the time he is a certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide leading international expeditions in Nepal and China/Tibet.
